Hi! I’m Nat - a self-taught full-stack developer from the UK.

My web development journey began in 2020. While the world was locked down, I started learning to code online from home. From free courses and YouTube tutorials to £12.99 Udemy deals - the more I learned, the more I loved it. By the end of the year, I’d left my full-time job to join a 12-week tech bootcamp, and not long after, I landed my first role as a Junior Front-End Developer!

In early 2022, I started my current role as a Web Developer at a creative design agency. I love agency life - it’s fast-paced, varied, and full of opportunities to grow. With such a wide range of clients and projects, there’s always something new to learn.

When I’m not at my desk, I’m usually with my husband Sam and our miniature sausage dog, spending time in nature, reading, nurturing my garden, or heading off on the occasional holiday. I also love yoga, arts and crafts, Formula 1 and going to gigs.

I’m a big believer in continuous learning - not just in tech, but in life too.

I’ve found that writing things down helps me understand them better. This blog is my open notebook - a place to store notes, tutorials, and thoughts as I go. I started it mostly to keep track of what I’m learning, but I figured: if it helps me, maybe it’ll help someone else too.

You'll find:

  • Step-by-step notes from tutorials or courses

  • Fixes for bugs and errors I’ve run into

  • Explanations in plain English (because future-me appreciates that)

  • Occasional thoughts on learning and motivation

  • Write-ups from conferences and events I’ve attended

If anything here helps you out - or if you just want to say hi - feel free to reach out. I’d genuinely love to hear from you.

Thanks for reading, and for being part of the journey.

Nat
